Art Gallery and Library Trip

On Wednesday the 24 of September room 20 went on a exciting trip to the art gallery and the Tauranga library. We got to explore the library and made some fantastic sculptures out of forks and spoons, as well as a great piece of art work.

Student of the week!

Well done to Ollisha who recieved the 'Student of the week' for Term 3, week 1. Ollisha is a fantastic Arataki kid who gives 100%. Tino Pai!

Our Toys

Thankyou to all the parents who came to our toy afternoon. What a great turn out we had. This was a great opportunity for you all to see what inquiry learning is all about. The children of room 20 were very proud of their efforts and couldn't wait to show you all their fantastic work on moving toys.

Moving Toys - Inquiry Learning

Arataki School have been doing a 'Move It' topic this term, room 20 went in the direction of 'Moving Toys'. We firstly brainstormed all our ideas about what we knew about moving toys. Once we did this we came up with a research question about what we would like to find out. Take a look at our process.
